Six month model

Strider posing for his six month photos. With temperatures in the 60's during the winter season we were able to capture these pictures downtown. I love shooting outside with the white balance always changing allowing every picture and photo shoot to have its own creative style. His mom wanted to add family history to his photos by adding her dads boots and her rocking chair. I adore the thought of making each session the clients own.

A Couple + Great Dane + Christmas Lights

We did this session a few weeks back. In this session they wanted me to add some christmas lights and I thought I would add some bokeh to the forground. At this time I've been pushing myself to only do natural light. That means no flash at night!! That can be a nightmare for some people but we made it happen even with the temp being 15 degrees. The 2nd set of pictures were done the next day and turned out great. I got some wanted flare in one pic to add texture to make the pic look a little warmer than it really was that cold afternoon. While waiting on the session to start I decided to make a little prop with a leaf by cutting out Love. With the cold, wind and dark light I had a great time taking pictures using the props. Thanks you Tiffany & Kevin for making some awesome pictures.

McClain's Scottish Wedding

First and foremost I wasn't the hired professional photographer at this wedding even tho I am a professional photographer. This is my cousins wedding and I couldn't resist the thought of not capturing images of this special day. I didn't want to use a flash and be a distraction so I used a different technique to capture low light photos. Congrats to Katrina and Ryan for this wonderful celebration. We love you guys and are extremely happy for you and your future.

Beach's

Here's the other portion of the shoot. My wife and I enjoy this whole experience with this family. We were able to use different ideas to capture creative photography that brings the Beach's personality to the set. Lisa has always loved the idea of footprints on the beach of their feet so we used the surroundings to make this picture workout. Over all this was a pleasure to make art with our talents. Thank you again

When its Winter think of a BEACH

This day began downtown shooting with the Beach's. I've known this family my whole life. How? Simply because their part of my family. From all the memories I have gathered of the holidays and all of the summer sleep overs we had. I can say being apart of this family has left footprints of love. This session was based on 3 shoots put together. We did family poses then couples. I'll POST the couples as their own post, so keep coming back to see more of the Beach Family shoot in the next couple of days. The family was open to doing creative shots that showed personality and humor, making my wife and I feel welcomed. I think I speak for most of us when I say that we had a fun experience doing the jumping picture we actually did 5 different takes. The smiles they bring to the atmosphere reminds me why I love to capture the moments.
